I recently used expiring United miles on a years subscription to Barron's (and The Economist). The print world surely shrinks after you lose your free undergraduate subscriptions...

haha yea, I know what you mean. In undergrad at the business school they always had free copies of all kinds of publications. Always on the hunt for deals now since I'm spoiled with reading them. Had no idea you could use miles though, that's a cool feature since it takes forever to earn free flights.
