May be traded in the US on the pinks, although couldn't find any evidence of that.
It's traded on the Madrid exchange, 3.36 bn shares outstanding, free float of just 757 mn shares, market cap over 10 bn euros. S/h equity 12.1 bn.
Presently trading at 9x rolling 12-month earnings

I believe Criteria Caixa is an industrial holding company mainly owned by Caixa, a Spanish savings bank. It is not a bank.

Cool, thanks for the link Ross, hadn't had a chance to look at Caixa in depth yet. Einhorn does love those sorts of multiple parts and spin-off type plays where he can find value and unlock it. Will definitely have to check it out more.

Criteria Caixa is an interesting bank, indeed. They have equity investments across several industries and regions. This has to be a sum of the parts play, looks to me.

Yes indeed, the IMF sales will certainly spoke the market for the near-term. It will be interesting to see what happens after they are done selling.

Jim Rogers, in a Bloomberg interview a few days ago, was saying that he expects gold to plunge to around $700/ounce. This is due, he says, to the IMF's announcement that it's planning on selling over 400 metric tons of gold.

hey Jevo the letter hasn't been publicly posted anywhere yet but I will do so once it becomes "public domain." Hedge funds are very protective regarding confidentiality agreements and the minute it gets posted up, more often than not they are contacting you to take it down. All kinds of legal jargon etc.
