    You may want to go ease on the Amazon subscription links, unless you want a lot of angry readers.

    Here's a small sampling from the Amazon review pages for magazine subscriptions via Amazon:

    --

    * star
    "This is the best paper I have ever read. But I used Amazon to re-subscribe and the Synapse Services are NOT FUNCTIONAL. "

    * star
    "Amazon + Synapse combo is bad. STAY AWAY!!! "

    * star
    "Great paper but Synapse Services, the subscription fulfillment company, is either incompetent or running a scam. "

    * star
    "THEY ARE HORRIBLE, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT RESPOND TO E-MAILS FOR SERVICE, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME THEY ARE HORRIBLE"

    * star
    "Although the actual newspaper is an excellent resource, the service through Amazon leaves alot to be desired."

    * star
    "I used to make the subscriptions directly with FT, which by the way is a wonderful newspaper, top notch. But this yr I decided to do it through Amazon, just because it was more convenient since I was buying some other stuff here anyway - and the price was good. No wonder the price was good, it has been more than two months and no newspaper has arrived yet ! Stay away !"

    * star
    "I purchased a 1 year subscription through Amazon and after 4 weeks it simply stopped arriving. Amazon itself will do nothing except tell me to call their company, Synapse Services."

    ---

    Looks like a certified scam to me. Amazon or no Amazon.

    Thanks for the head's up. Interesting as I've never had a problem with them. But, I'm only one case and you've listed many who have had problems. Definitely something to keep in mind.
