Interesting indeed. Keep in mind that we'll be covering Soros' portfolio in its entirety here when it is released in 2 weeks or so. Then we'll really get to see what he has done with his energy plays.

GS must not think much of Obam's energy plan or he would be selling OIL and COAL. Strange how that works!

The upstream part of the oil business, i.e., exploration and production, is the most profitable. No risk, no gain.

P.S. PXP is up 6% this morning. Soros's other main holding POT (along with all other potash stocks) is also up 6% this morning.

P.P.S. The greenback continues to decline in value against the Canadian dollar.
