Their top holdings have been murdered. The redemption/liquidation/front-running trade is still very much on.

Re: Hedge Fund Tracking: Harbinger Capital's 13F Filing (Managed by Philip Falcone)

You should not interpret 13F filings too much. They only report long positions. You don't know the short side of the trade. For a fund like Harbinger, the short makes all the difference. CPO, for example, is likely to be merger arb play and will have an offsetting short in BG. So what if they added to CPO at 50+? They probably shorted BG at 110 and locked in the spread.

Re: Hedge Fund Tracking: Harbinger Capital's 13F Filing (Managed by Philip Falcone)

Slowpoke!

lol

Dude you can tell from the stock performance they were not buying any dip - they're puking, and hard

when did you write this? you wrote CLF 48
today CLF 37!!!!!!!!! down 21%

AKS down 17% to $20!

puke puke puke

Re: Hedge Fund Tracking: Harbinger Capital's 13F Filing (Managed by Philip Falcone)

yep, i mentioned in the article the holdings were as of june 30th. just giving people perspective as to what names hedge funds will be selling off in the deleveraging/redemption process.

the next filings are not until november and since they only file quarterly, this is the most recent data there is

Re: Hedge Fund Tracking: Harbinger Capital's 13F Filing (Managed by Philip Falcone)

This is really old data.
