    thanks for the perspective on the buffett book. will give it a read. interesting okumus capital shut down. wow. have you read anything about developing the psychology/mindset of a short seller? recently, i've had a bunch of successful shortselling ideas, but haven't pulled the trigger, even when pairing the trade.

    no i haven't seen anything about shortselling psychology, but there's probably something out there that we don't know of. yea i've also had tons of short ideas and most of the money i've made has been on the short side.

    you just worried of it blowing up in your face or what?

    yeah. even if i put in the stop loss. at the very least, probably nice to have a few shorts as insurance.

    yea well think of it this way... you should at least be hedged in this environment. and, inserting stop losses is always a great idea. you could even take it a step further and monitor your shorts on a daily basis to make sure nothing crazy is going on.
