mainly in cash right now and have been doing shorter-term trades based on all the wild swings. buying the huge down days, selling the huge up days... so its really hard for me to say my positions since they're changing a lot.

that said, i'm dipping on the long side very very very slowly to build up some positions for long term portfolio... so far i've started in CHK, BNI, RIG, AAPL, QCOM. other names waiting to be filled on my first order are WMT, ABT, and MCD. I'm really not doing a whole lot quite yet though. I anticipate i'll start getting more active around december.

i'm not taking very big positions in anything though as the market is still too uncertain and could go much lower. I've separated my portfolio into 2 accounts, one for long term and one for trading around right now. I'm always hedged though in both.

What are your major holdings right now? Or are they "proprietary" like the hedge funds you track? ;)

hey walt, yea definitely. i got stopped out back at $120 and have been waiting for some relative strength on the chart/markets before dipping back in. This one is at fire-sale prices though that's for sure. Long term, its probably one of my most bullish names assuming they can keep raising dayrates and lease the rigs they have coming out of construction (which they've been able to do no problem)
